At Amalatma — Sanskrit for pure soul — our mission is to provide compassionate care to individuals, couples, and families struggling with everyday issues as well as complex mental health diagnoses. We believe that therapy should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or financial situation.
Initially trained as a biologist, Jeremy received his bachelor's in Molecular Biology from Georgia State in 2002 and a PhD in Neuroscience from Michigan State in 2008. He was motivated to transition to a career as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) after caring for a parent with Alzheimer's disease. He earned his MAMFT degree from National University in 2024 and is licensed as an Associate-level MFT (LMFTA) in the state of Washington. Jeremy offers EMDR, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), but his therapeutic style is humanistic and he prefers to use experiential, somatic, and mindfulness approaches whenever possible.
